Why is Shea Butter better for my skin than store lotions?
Our East African Shea Butter has many benefits. It can be used as an anti-wrinkle treatment, to soften scars and keloids, moisturize stretch marks for pregnant women, soothe sun burns or wind burns, moisturize dry hair, aid in the treatment of eczema, dermatitis, skin discolorations, and for chapped lips. Most store lotions have a list of chemicals a mile long including dyes, waxes and artificial fragrances. Many people are allergic or sensitive to these ingredients, and many waxes and dyes are actually harmful to the skin.

What does Shea Butter smell like?
Our Shea Butter has a light, natural smell that is slightly nutty and does not interfere with any fragrance you may want to wear.

How do I store my Shea Butter?
Shea butter is very soft, and can easily be melted (which turns it into a great oil!) so we recommend storing it in a cool place, but not the refrigerator.

What happens if my Shea Butter melts?
No problem! It has a very low melting point due to the natural ingredients. If it has melted, place in your refrigerator until it hardens. You may need to stir to make the consistency uniform.

Is Shea Butter safe for my baby?
Yes, Shea Butter is safe for babies and the elderly. It is great for sensitive and mature skin types.

Is Shea Butter a sunscreen?
Although Shea Butter provides natural protection from the sun, we do not recommend using it in place of a sunscreen, because the SPF ranges from 0-6.
