How does it work?
The Photo Ion Facial Massager is designed to work three ways:
1. The Photo Clear Mode delivers specific wavelengths of LED light deep into skin tissue to recharge tired cells and increase collagen production. LED Photo Rejuvenation is very gentle and does not harm tissue like IPL or laser. LEDs signal the body to convert light into nourishing, cell-stimulating energy
naturally. There are 4 LED light modes on the Photo Ion; each delivers specific wave-lengths of light for specific skin issues. Blue/Green for oily/acne prone areas, Red/Orange for fine lines and wrinkles, and combination treatment modes.
2. The machine also offers Ion Therapy Mode to kill bacteria in pores and maintain a healthy moisture balance in the skin. Choose
+ ion to balance the moisture in the pores and smooth the skin surface, or
- ion to deeply cleanse the pores and remove bacteria that can cause blemishes.

What is PhotoClear?
This is an advanced skin care treatment done with LED light. Cool LED light uses the body's natural responses to accelerate cell activity and stimulate fibroblasts to produce collagen and proteins that improve elasticity.
How is Light used for skin treatment?
Photo-rejuvenation uses a wavelength of light that is easily absorbed by the skin. This orange light (590 nanometers) helps lotion with pro vitamin E ions to better permeate the skin cells.
Is LED light different from Laser light?
Lasers are usually used to focus very high-intensity light at a small area for certain skin treatments, but aren't suitable for larger areas. LED light is ideal in treating wide areas of the skin for rejuvenating effects.
Can the LED and Ion treatments be applied at the same time?
Ion is best for pre-treatment, while PhotoClear (LED) therapy is ideal for after-treatment.

Can I use any lotions or cosmetics with Photo Ion?
You can use water-based lotions or gels. No oil based products please!. Look for products that contain vitamin C and E; the Ionic technology increases the efficacy of these skin healing elements. Be sure to use a cotton pad, per the instruction manual, for Ion lotion application.
